Website Update 4/18/15

Uploaded some new wallpapers! 3 new group wallpapers. I had been working on these particular wallpapers before my motherboard decided to die on me. I was finally able to go back to them and finish them out. Also each and every individual character has a new wallpaper as well. So 8 new wallpapers. I hope you enjoy them!

I edited all the Dark Warlord/Mashou and Kayura bios and information. I actually started updating them on March 31st. I just put the finishing touches up today.

Basically thanks to Welcome to Edo and their translations we have some extra information about these characters. We have information about what the name the providence they were born in used to be called. (Since they all changed names over the centuries.) Good for those who are just curious, have an interest in Japanese history, or fanfic writers. 😀

We also have a range of when the Dark Warlords/Mashou joined Talpa/Arago. (1563-1565) So I added possible physical ages both when they joined, and their ages during the TV series. Again they’re ranges so we don’t have precise ages. (Drat.) But Anubis/Shuten did join last (the one Mashou cassette drama confirms this), so we can guesstimate his approximate age a bit more. Look at each of their bio pages and you’ll see what I mean. I tried to make it as clear as possible.

As you can tell from this post, I’m slowly working my way out of hiatus. This past Friday was the 1 month anniversary of my father’s death and I took it very hard that night. I still have times when I mourn which leave me emotionally and physically drained. I get depressed and it’s difficult sometimes to push through that and do things that need to be done. So thank you to everyone for being patient and understanding with me.

Don’t forget, the Samurai Troopers TV series DVD collection comes out near the end of this month!

Also one final and important thing. I am doing a walk on May 30th for the National Kidney Foundation in honor of my father. (He had renal failure at the end, and years ago was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease.) It’s a fundraising walk to help get funds for the National Kidney Foundation. As such I am looking for donations for our team. (I will be walking with my husband Giuliano.) Even a donation like $5 is wonderful to give. So please give if you can to help this great cause. So for a while now I’ve been doing a series of small additions. I updated the horizontal navigation bar a bit. Hopefully this will make navigation clearer.

I also added more links on the links page. I added a whole section for DeviantArt on there and added a bunch of artists. Tumblr has its own section now. I’ve also been doing some work on the back end of this site.

For the past couple of weeks or so everything has been quiet on the doujinshi front. I haven’t been able to locate any new doujinshi cover images or information. I have some ideas of other content to add to this site if this trend continues.

My OVA DVD has shipped. So expect a review of it to be posted here.

So I touched up my website’s links page and adjusted the categories. As such I am looking for Ronin Warriors/Samurai Troopers Tumblr and DeviantArt links to add to it. So if you don’t see your link there, please be sure to submit it to me. (If the tumblr isn’t a dedicated RW/YST only blog, then I’m linking to the tag for Ronin Warriors or Samurai Troopers.) Also be sure to fill out a description on my submit a link form so I can enter that information on my site.

If you know of a Ronin Warriors/Samurai Troopers website out there that isn’t on my links page, submit that too. (Though dead pages with dead/broken links will be rejected.)

Hello Minna-san!

First off, happy new year to everyone! I hope you all have a great year!

Updates are as follows:

  1. More Links were added to the, well, links page. Some fansites have come back, and the message board Samurai Fanservice is back up!
  2. Added some Fanlistings to the main page.
  3. Added more images to Adopted Characters.
  4. More images added to the Doujinshi Pictures page. I also rearranged the titles on there a bit. So it got a bit of an overhaul.

Still no further word on the Ronin Warriors / Yoroiden Samurai Troopers DVD release. I just checked Discotek Media’s Facebook page and the last post there was on December 24th. As I stated before, whenever I find out any further news on the DVDs I will be making a blog post about it here. Hopefully we’ll find out more as February draws nearer.

One final note. Sorry if this update seemed delayed. The motherboard on my desktop PC died sometime overnight between December 14th and 15th. Everything had to be replaced except for the video card. (Yes even the PC case, and I got a new larger hard drive as well.) My husband was busy ordering parts, waiting for them, assembling the PC, and getting it up and running for a while. I didn’t get my PC back until Christmas Day. My time up until now has been going through files on the hard drive. (Though I’m still reorganizing things to an extent.) Hopefully that won’t happen again for some time since I practically have a new PC now.

Added a new doujinshi to the Doujinshi Pictures page. I also noted a couple of titles were not displaying their images and fixed that.

I also added Kayura’s Chinese zodiac information. She appears to be an Earth Goat, from what I can find out.

Otherwise just some minor text stuff here and there.
