Cale voice actor character mashup

So Mirror and Image have got me into My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I realized in the latest episode that, “Heeey.. I know that screaming yell..” Yup Matt Hill’s voice was used for Soarin. (Hey I’m a Warlord fan, remember? I would remember every time Ryo cried out. :P)

Anyway while looking at the voices actors for MLP:FIM I found another name I recognized. Richard Newman. He plays the voice of Cranky Doodle Donkey. He also was the primary voice actor for Cale.

So while chatting with Mirror and Image about mash ups of the characters between the fandoms, they drew me a quick sketch of Cranky in the Armor of Darkness. I went ahead and commissioned for a completed work.

To make things easier I’m going to use the Japanese names for this post..

I have no idea why Anubisu is encouraging Kayura. Though I must agree I thought of Anubisu as kind of the partying type.

Mirror and Image and I have this agreement about Naaza and alcohol. We all agree we don’t think he’d be able to get drunk. Think about it. His armor would probably purify the ‘poison’ in the drink. (Since his armor obviously helps give Naaza healing and quick recovery abilities.) It’s a concept the three of us have loved to run with for a while. 🙂

Animation cels of Rajura/Dais, and one of 3 of the Mashou/Dark Warlords.

The group cel was on sale on ebay years ago. I placed bids on it.. and I lost to someone who outbid me at the last second. It’s especially bitter because that image was the very first series picture that I had up on my fansite. So the image holds sentimental value to me.

Sighs.
