Soul of the Seasons update – new wallpapers

*Pant, pant, pant.*

Phew!

One good thing about being stuck inside due to Snowjam 2014 aka Gridlockalypse 2014 is that I have time to do stuff. (Yes I live in Georgia.)

So I worked on some new wallpapers. The new Cale/Anubisu one was a particular pain in the butt. On my right hand my first finger, middle finger, and thumb are in a lot of pain due to repeatedly mouse clicking and scrolling to edit the image. If anyone posts that image on their site without a link back to my page, I will not be happy. Just cause, you know, it was hours of work.. and the aforementioned pain.

But I digress. I hope all of you enjoy the new wallpapers.

Edit: Oh and happy Chinese New Year, which begins tomorrow. The year of the snake is ending (I’m a fire snake) and the year of the horse will begin. Personally I’m looking forward to celebrating it and doing something nice this weekend. ^_^

Cale voice actor character mashup

So Mirror and Image have got me into My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I realized in the latest episode that, “Heeey.. I know that screaming yell..” Yup Matt Hill’s voice was used for Soarin. (Hey I’m a Warlord fan, remember? I would remember every time Ryo cried out. :P)

Anyway while looking at the voices actors for MLP:FIM I found another name I recognized. Richard Newman. He plays the voice of Cranky Doodle Donkey. He also was the primary voice actor for Cale.

So while chatting with Mirror and Image about mash ups of the characters between the fandoms, they drew me a quick sketch of Cranky in the Armor of Darkness. I went ahead and commissioned for a completed work.

Follow-up on that coloring book cover

I’ve noticed a lot of people loving that coloring book back cover I posted. I tried to do some quick searching online before heading off to work this morning. See I’ve had that image for a while on an old hard drive and I wanted to see if I could find any sources or further information. I did find this Picasa album. It looks like the person who scanned these also translated and replaced the Japanese text. I don’t know if this image album belongs to a Samurai Troopers or Ronin Warriors fansite. If so, please let me know the URL. I’d love to give them credit.
