The third trailer dropped on September 9th. Once again I’ll be posting my thoughts and what caught my eye.
Be sure to check out my thoughts on the first and second trailers as well.
Image heavy post after the read more.
The first thing that caught my eye starts at 0:04 – 0:05 mark.

Who is this person that Gai is charging at? As we’ll see, this person doesn’t match any of the new Troopers. Could it be one of the new enemies out of their full armor? Perhaps the one in full armor at the end of the trailer?
Speaking of enemies:

These creatures are seen in the trailer and seem to be the new generic enemy army the Troopers are fighting. Even the large enemy boss in the trailer has a similar aesthetic shall we say.

We see bodies in the trailer and blood, yet again confirming this sequel will be more violent with more deaths.

We get a look at all five Troopers now. I’ve included the information below, but take note I had to use Google Translate on their information pages so some things may be incorrect.
Gai of the Shakunetsu armor. (Family name still not revealed.)
14 years old. Gai was discovered to have the potential to be a Samurai Trooper. His taste buds are different from other people and he likes unusual flavors.

Yamato Hojo of the Koya armor.
16 years old. Yamato comes from an orphanage called the “Forest of Truth”. He is like an older brother to Musashi. Yamato has a strong sense of justice and admires heroes. Yamato supports the other members and uplifts their mood. (Google translate is not great at parsing this out exactly.)

Shion Ishida of the Senkou armor.
18 years old, making him the oldest of the group. Shion often uses English words in conversation. Contrary to his appearance, Shion is a kind-hearted man who cares for his friends.

Musashi Hojo of the Suiren armor.
14 years old. Musashi was raised at an orphanage called the “Forest of Truth”. He was discovered to have the potential to be a Samurai Trooper. Musashi likes to check his fortune on his smartphone as part of his daily routine for advice and believes in lucky items.

And Kaito Uesugi of the Soukyu armor.

Some interesting things about the armors:
This glowing pattern that appears as the subarmor forms. Also note that their subarmor covers part of their neck. The original Trooper subarmors didn’t have this, only the Mashou subarmors. (So they upgraded to the neck guard protection plan. 😆)

We also get a closer look at the Koya armor’s axe. A Chinese dragon motif is seen on the axe.

A closer look at the Senkou armor’s sword hilt and design at the start of the blade.

The Suiren armor has this small blade that seems to create a water whip in the trailer.

Kaito creates this whirlwind from his right hand while holding his bow.

A look at the backs of the armors.

The enemy in the above image has a bloodied claw, presumably this is what killed the people we saw laying dead in the trailer.
Shion is holding a sword that looks similar to the sword Gai is using out of armor.

And finally we get this shot, which raises questions.

Musashi is somewhere and there’s a poster of the original Samurai Troopers behind him. The poster says, “Protect the future of this country.” Does that mean the Troopers and their armors and everything are just known by everyone now?
Still no idea if any of the characters from the original series will appear in the sequel. Even Byakuen (aka White Blaze) hasn’t been seen in these trailers yet. We’re still in a wait and see pattern until more information is teased out to us.
